    This position is part of the Unified Communication Group within the Enterprise Information Technology Service Department (EITS). The candidate’s responsibilities will include Wireless architecture, engineering standards and creating best practice technical architecture models utilizing knowledge of industry and technical trends. The candidate will be part of a team that will evaluate, architect and engineer an enterprise Cisco Wireless Infrastructure that will interface with voice systems, wired infrastructure and healthcare medical services. Additionally, hands-on experience in Location based services (MSE), identity services engine (ISE), Access Control System (ACS), Cisco Prime Infrastructure (CPI) are necessary.

    1. Expert working knowledge in Designing Enterprise Wireless network Infrastructure

    2. Expert Knowledge and experience with Radio Frequency (RF) fundamentals including radio wave propagation; antenna concepts and theory; modulation types and interference causes and resolution

    3. Expert Knowledge and experience with integration of wireless technologies to next-generation networks

    4. Expert Knowledge and experience with IEEE 802.11 standards including 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11i, 802.11n and 802.11ac

    5. Understanding of all wireless security practices and fundamentals covered in 802.11i including PEAP and EAP-TLS protocols

    6. Expert Knowledge and experience with deploying and configuring CISCO Wireless LAN Controllers ( primary Cisco models 5508, 8540,5760 and 8510)

    7. Expert Knowledge and experience with deploying and configuring CISCO Identity Services Engine ( ISE) and Cisco Secure Access Control System (ACS)

    8. Knowledge and experience with configuring switch ports and controller interfaces and overall networking related tasks

    9. Expert Knowledge and experience with designing and implementing a CISCO 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac network infrastructure to support various 802.11 clients

    10. Expert Knowledge and experience with establishing a Network Monitoring System for the 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless network infrastructure to provide real time status of wireless performance in terms of throughput and coverage

    11. Expert Knowledge and experience with analyzing and remediating wireless interference, coverage and throughput issues

    12. Expert Knowledge and experience with deploying CISCO wireless Access Points (primarily 1262/3500/3600/3700-series) and selection of antenna types

    13. Expert Knowledge and experience with performing an RF analysis to identify RF sources of interference that affect performance

    14. Expert Knowledge and experience with conducting wireless site surveys for CISCO 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi infrastructure deployments using Fluke Networks Air Magnet Surveyor or Ekahau

    15. First-hand experience in designing and developing wireless networks for mission critical systems

    16. Written communication skills including ability to author user guides, Statements of Work, and strategic analyses

    17. Expert Knowledge and Experience in deploying, managing and maintaining Cisco Prime Infrastructure (2.x or 3.x) and wireless planning mode
