Functional Title:  Technical Architect Engineer

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Work closely with the Network, Server, Virtualization, Storage, Database and Security team for designing the technical engineering specifications for the required systems and applications.

Responsibilities include helping the Infrastructure teams with planning, implementation, and engineering of the technology and software supporting the system platforms and processes.

Work with technical teams to develop engineering specifications for on‐premise and Cloud networking, Storage, Database, Server, and Virtualization systems.

Review and evaluate of current state of systems, and vendor proposed solution and specifications to develop the target technical engineering specifications.

Assist in development of on‐premise and Cloud Standards and Deployment Solutions.

Coordinate technical design and engineering specifications review activities with technical stakeholders and vendors.

Research and recommend the implementation of changes to the technical specifications to align with the business and technical requirements of the programs.

Qualifications / Required Skills

A Baccalaureate Degree with a major in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines; and, A minimum of four years of experience in the field of system processing and computer systems and applications; and, An equivalent combination of education, training and experience indicating the ability to perform satisfactorily

Departmental Preferences:

Strong problem‐solving skills and understanding of technology in virtualization, network, storage and server infrastructure.

Strong technical knowledge of computer systems capabilities, administrative and financial E.R.P. systems and applications and computer usage in the health care field

Experience with automation and integration through scripting and configurations.

Strong knowledge and experience designing and implementing technical engineering solutions for virtualization, Storage High Availability and replication.

Ability to work with cross‐functional teams and act as a trusted advisor to secure cloud deployments that are planned across business projects.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate well with peers, vendors and technical stakeholders
