    Job Function:

    The ServiceNow Developer / Administrator will be a member of the Service Management Office and drive cross-functional technology for delivering projects on the ServiceNow SaaS platform to meet critical technology and business requirements.
    This is a specialized job function that focuses on the configuration, development, and maintenance of ServiceNow.

     

    Key Duties and Responsibilities:
    The Primary function is to deliver functionality and maintain the ServiceNow platform.
    A firm grasp of ITSM processes (Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, and Asset Management)
    Aid with requirements gathering and apply best practices to development.
    Assist and oversee production releases while partnering with internal teams to ensure stakeholders are involved with testing and verification.
    Review and identify performance and security issues or concerns.
    Ensure alignment to NYL standards.
    Follow the enterprise change management process to deploy fully tested and documented solutions to a production environment.
    Investigate and advise on new features released by ServiceNow and what impact it could have to current processes.
    Drive automation to replace manual operations
    Collaborate with Enterprise Architects and Solution Engineers to deliver projects
    Train development teams and new users on services and capabilities
    Provide tier 2 and 3 production operational support
    Potential for off-hours incident response
    Actively engage with peer technical teams to ensure alignment of business goals
    Willingness to learn new and emerging technologies and implement in a short time
    Ability to multi-task and manage tasks with varying priorities
    Self-motivated, innovative and able to work across diverse technical and non-technical teams.
    Must be self-directed and willing to learn new tools and services to stay up-to-date with our evolving platform
    Ability to communicate to non-technical and technical resources

    Required Qualifications:

    5+ years ServiceNow development and administration in an enterprise environment.
    Ability to configure, develop, and implement functionality within ServiceNow.
    ServiceNow System Administrator Certification
    Demonstrable Service Catalog, Service Portal and Configuration Management experience
    Ability to relate to software engineering challenges and practices
    Preferred Education/Experience

     

    Education: BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent on the job, hands on experience.
    5+ years of overall IT experience, with a practical understanding of various technologies and processes such as operations systems, storage, networking, monitoring, discovery.
    2+ years with Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) services and platforms other than ServiceNow.
    Experience delivering automated solutions and implementation of highly scalable, highly available services.
    Other ServiceNow certifications such as App Developer.​
