Title: Senior Investment Operations
This position is for a developing professional individual contributor in Client Trading, who works under moderate supervision, providing support to the Investment Operations Team regarding all aspects of product/client order management and monitoring of the proprietary mutual funds and collective portfolios. This includes overseeing all daily trade activity from initiation to settlement and delivering monthly/quarterly performance reporting. The position will be assuming sole responsibility for data implementation and reconciliation processes related to the Trade and Reporting system while providing assistance with the system quality control process. This position will also develop project plans related to client and product launches and coordinate and/or respond directly to ad-hoc data requests on behalf of the team.
Fund Administration Group supports a growing number of collective investment trust and mutual funds. The team is looking for a temporary Analyst who will help the team support all aspects of financial statement production, as well as monitoring for assigned mutual funds and collective portfolios. Coordinates the workflow of third party vendor’s Fund Administration group. Review financial statements and monthly/quarterly filings, prepare fund expenses and review reimbursement calculations for the products.
Provides financial and operational oversight for year-end audit and financial statement reporting. Individual will be responsible for assisting senior analysts with annual audits of products, semi-annual financial statement reviews and quarterly filings. Responsibilities also include oversight of quarterly SEC reporting requirements.
o Support and/or manage the creation of semi-annual and annual product Financial reports and quarterly filings
o Acts as liaison with auditors to answer any questions related to audits, financial statements expenses and reimbursements
o Regulatory Investment Company working knowledge that is readily applied to daily product oversight
o Product and Legal Entity Audit management: coordinate both internal and external audits
o Assist client auditors with investment product requirements and data delivery based on needs
o Security Valuation: specifically able to apply FAS 157 regulations within at the ERISA plan level, 40 Act Mutual Fund and investment companies
o Mutual Fund experience; financial reporting custodian, fund accounting, fund administration, client services, etc.
o Independent problem solving skills
o Ability to work independently on assignments
o Experienced with product launches and daily management with technical financial knowledge a plus
o Institutional investment knowledge preferable
o Working knowledge of FASB rules and Regulation S-X as they apply to ERISA and 40 Act Mutual Funds
o Bachelor’s degree preferably in accounting or finance
o 5-7 years of mutual fund – Financial Reporting experience required
o Fund Administration experience and knowledge
