    Role  This is hands-on developer role in architecture, programming, general maintenance, enhancement, administration, and testing of applications. The candidate will be expected to apply industry best practices and design patterns to design scalable, secure, and strategic solutions that have superior technical performance. The candidate must have sound development skills based primarily on .NET and other Microsoft technologies but also be familiar with SQL, JAVA, Python, NOSQL, Tableau (or other BI solutions) message based and service-oriented architecture principles.

    Key Responsibilities • Work with the Risk group to understand and document requirements • Actively lead and participate in architecture and design conversations • Develop solutions following firm-specific established guidelines and standards and best practices  • Ensure unit testing demonstrating code coverage • Leverage and contribute to proprietary shared/common libraries • Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines for short, long, and ad-hoc assignments • Raise any potential project risks (including road blocks, delays, deviations from previously agreed upon plan) in a timely manner
    Qualifications: • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in application development and support within the investment industry • Prior experience in a buy side firm preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or equivalent • Experience with all aspects of SDLC and agile based development • Have basic understanding of the terms and methodologies commonly employed in investment risk and performance space
