    ​Overview of the department / team (team size, backgrounds, personalities …):
    You’ll be working in our WMA Technology Risk Management team. We’re a global team responsible for Technology risk management, risk remediation, and ensuring Technology controls are designed and operating effectively for the WMA Technology organization. You’ll be working closely with your counterparts – business risk managers, Compliance and Operational Risk and Group Internal Audit, as well as WMA Technology representatives of various levels.

    Must-Have Skills & Qualifications:
    – a university degree, preferably in computer science, information technology or similar field
    – experience in risk management, technology security, operational control, or audit based processes, preferably in the Financial Services industry, to effectively manage risk related projects to timely completion
    – proven project management experience in planning, testing, tracking against a plan, with a history of successful delivery outcomes
    – sound experience in data analysis, validation and presentation of results (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Tableau)
    – broad and practical knowledge of information technology risks, controls, risk strategies and remediation
    – excellent problem-solving, communication and organizational skills
    – a strong technical background, with an ability to understand and appreciate different technologies and infrastructure
    – ability to work across divisional teams and create colleagueship in order to drive closure of audit findings, self-identified risks and regulatory requirements

    – translate Technology issues to business risk and effectively communicate these risks with our business partners

    What are the responsibilities of the role? What work will the contractor be performing on a day to day basis?
    – establish and maintain an effective risk culture
    – analyze data, explain trends, peaks and exceptions to identify emerging Technology risks and issues
    – discover all relevant control related information for our senior management to sign off on the design and control effectiveness of Technology controls
    – deliver end-to-end support of the Internal Control Assessment Process
    – document operational risk items and track issues to completion
    – assist with risk assessments and reporting that shed light on our technology risk profile
    – face off to the Wealth Management Americas team of the Technology function, from software component managers through senior management, developing a strong client relationship, as well as relationships with key stakeholders across the Divisions (e.g. Application Support Group, Group Internal Audit, Technology Services, External Auditors, etc.)
    – guide software component managers in their Software Development Life Cycle as it relates to Minimum Enterprise Requirements adherence based on the firm’s policies and standards
    – participate in a lead capacity in periodic risk committee meetings with the WMA Head of Technology, MC and various committee members, preparing material and facilitating walkthrough discussions
    – deal with regulatory requirements and requests in a disciplined, timely and efficient manner
    – support WMA Technology in managing their risks and proactively identify operational risks, focusing discussions with the lens of agreed risk appetite and insuring remediation is sustainable
    – ensure that WMA Technology operates as documented in our Operational Risk Framework​
