    We are hiring a Lead QA Engineer to drive application quality for Tax Credits product. The Lead QA Engineer will join the Quality Assurance team and assist with development of test plans, automation flows, load/performance tests, and regression tests for an existing product that has a large and diverse customer base. The Lead QA Engineer is involved with planning and prioritization of test design and development activities to resolve a wide range of issues, and is a key contributor to successful projects/releases. Leverage expertise and experience to inspire, mentor, and develop junior team members.

    Key responsibilities include:
    • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts based upon business requirements and processes, in line with defined workflows, acceptance criteria, and other documentation
    • Write and execute effective manual test cases to supplement testing automation as needed
    • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities both within sprints and during release deployment cycles
    • Perform system, functional, and regression testing for software releases
    • Create/update user stories and acceptance criteria as needed to drive quality
    • Lead cross-functional discussions to review the application quality trends
    • Participate in User Story sizing and test effort estimation
    • Document bugs for test scripts where the actual results do not successfully meet expected results
    • Support the project team as needed to ensure team goals are met
    • Work with appropriate resources to determine the acceptable range for test results
    • Performs impact assessment of functional changes on the automated regression suite
    • Assist developers and other technical team members in identifying and resolving problems
    • Review business requirements, functional specifications, and test cases to understand the functional and technical requirements in order to test the application and verify requirements are successfully met

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, or related field
    • 6-8 years of experience in testing, documentation, scripting, test execution, automation, defect management, and status reporting
    • 5+ years of experience actively collaborating with business users, developers, and project team members to understand and capture requirements and drive product quality
    • 2-3 years of experience in web services/APIs
    • 2-3 years of hands-on experience with automated testing methodologies/frameworks/tools (e.g Selenium, Junit, Java, JIRA, Quality Center, Jenkins)
    • 3+ years of hands-on experience with performance and load testing
    • 2+ years working experience with agile development methodology
    • Proficiency with SQL queries
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
