Title: Project Manager – Alpharetta, GA
Ability to drive cross collaboration within multiple project teams (Scrum/KanBan), Tech Owners, Sponsors, Stakeholders, and shared services
Increasing the Agile maturity and productivity of our teams across the Infrastructure Organization
Evolving our technology capabilities to support existing, new, and emerging technologies
Providing analytical and execution support across a wide range of technology delivery efforts
Delivering increased transparency and insight across in-flight infrastructure initiatives and programs
Your infrastructure experience, collaborative approach, ability to identify challenges as opportunities, teamed with energy and excitement to coach, drive, and facilitate infrastructure initiatives will deliver best in class technology to the organization to support the products that markets.
Proactively manage and remove impediments and risks to ensure the teams can focus on delivering incremental business value, while working to establish the team’s baseline velocity, sprint cadence, and release plans
Develop and maintain all project documentation required for successful delivery of the project and for records retention purposes in accordance with organizational policies
Identify and actively manage risk according to impact and probability, escalating when necessary
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business
Provide leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously
Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives
Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities
Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence
Participate in establishing practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature these capabilities for the organization
Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chair the project management team meetings
Lead on-going execution / delivery efforts for infrastructure initiatives which includes the delivery of hardware, software, storage, network, and database components
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks, and issues, communicating across leadership
Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs
Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverable with team members and stakeholders
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables
Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project and program life cycle
Identify and develop trusted adviser relationship with project and program stakeholders, sponsors, and university stakeholders
Actively assess and mitigate risks and issues
REQUIREMENTS
This is a high-visibility role within with significant strategic responsibility. As a result, we are looking for candidates with:
5+ years of Agile/Scrum experience managing mid to large infrastructure projects
Broad-based Agile / Scrum Master / Kanban expertise
Proven influencing and coaching capabilities
5-10 years of applied project leadership
Strong analytical and communications skills are a must (Note: strong JIRA, Confluence, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills will be a baseline expectation for this role)
Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective
Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands
The ability to structure and organize complex data and execution efforts
A core focus on providing great service across our stakeholder groups
A foundational orientation towards servant-leadership oriented change management
QUALIFICATIONS:
Infrastructure experience is required for this role
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or MIS, or equivalent work experience
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is preferred
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is preferred
Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is desired
