Title: Project Manager
Momentum is looking for a solid PM.
The Senior Project Manager-CVP is a member of the Strategic Services department in the In-force Service Organization. His/her primary focus is establishing and leading cross functional strategic initiatives, many that have enterprise-wide impacts.
In addition to managing the day-to-day delivery aspects of assigned projects, this position will be recognized as a key leader of the Project Management Office and as such design, develop and facilitate defined governance processes that are intended to provide the needed oversight to drive the highest caliber results.
The role provides support to Business Area Sponsors, Leads and extended project team members to define overall scope, objectives, requirements and the delivery path for implementation. This includes day to day management of critical path milestones, defined timelines, deliverables and schedules.
*Directs large-scale, complex projects and manages all aspects of the project life cycle often involving multiple internal and external matrix partners
*Design, develop and facilitate effective governance meetings (ie: project change control, technology governance, portfolio reviews)
*Single accountable party for defining, planning and delivering a given strategic initiatives, leveraging identified stakeholders, sponsors and business leads
*Represents the project in various project governance forums
*Develops and maintains key project artifacts (project scope, integrated project plan, milestone timelines, status reports)
*Chairs weekly Core Team Project Update Meetings to review progress, resolve risks and solve key decisions
Bachelor Degree/Master Degree
Indicate the minimum level of experience needed in order to accomplish the job objectives – 5 – 7 years
Certifications: PMP, Six Sigma, Certified Project Manager desired.
Solid understanding and experience executing the full project life cycle
Strong management skills to implement medium to large scale complex initiatives
Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; execute with limited information and ambiguity
*Certifications (PMP, Six Sigma, Certified Project Manager) desired
*Demonstrated experience that highlights successful management of large scaled complex initiatives with ties to bottom line results
*Solid experience with industry best practices to form recommendations for risk/issues solutions
*Connects the project objectives to broader organizational goals to contribute to the development of specific business cases
*Leads initiatives with minimal to no directives and inputs
*Demonstrated expertise in outlining implementation strategies leading team to execution
*Strong relationship management competency to facilitate key interactions/meetings with senior leaders of the organization
*Consultative approach for problem resolution- defining root cause and solution recommendations
*Clearly defines solution objectives, success criteria and path for execution
*Makes prompt, clear decisions which may involve trade-offs
*Initiates action without needed to refer to others
*Acts without being prompted
*Structures communications that clearly states purpose and objectives
