Title: Network Engineer
Work Hours : 8am~4pm or 11am~7pm > schedule will change about every 2 weeks.
Daily monitoring of the network communication systems
Monitor and work on resolution of Trouble Incidents
Monitor and perform work on Service Now Incident cases.
Notifying team leader immediately of troubles and outages with detail of what systems and users are affected.
Documenting recovery activities and reporting status to the Team Leader issue is resolved.
Upon resolution providing an outage report detailing the incident and actions perform in order to recover.
Responsible for the day-to-day support and operation for remote offices for Local Area Networks, MAN, WAN, Internet Access infrastructure and VPN connections
Primary responsibility for network and Firewall Infrastructure. This includes Cisco ACI, Routers, Switches, Monitoring Tools, F5 Load balancer, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Netscreen Firewalls and BlueCoat proxy devices.
Provides Team leader with recommendations & solutions to meet business requirements.
Keeps abreast with technology on an ongoing basis to maintain a high level understanding of future strategies.
Communicate network and security issues to peers and management clearly and effectively
Candidates interested in this role should be comfortable working in a matrixed IT environment
Network and Security incidents can happen at any time and it’s expected that these engineers will research, escalate, and resolve issues effectively.
Design configuration and implementation of networking technologies including MPLS, fiber optic communications, QoS, SNMP, VoIP, PoE, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), structured cabling, etc.
