“Incremental resource for the Factory to support MLSI 163894 onboard to the Factory. Confirmed funding (PRJ016189 – GESI Encryption at Rest US).
Location strategy – highly skilled UNIX resources required, migration schedule has been compressed resulting in high volumes every weekend in H1 2020.

This is project work that occurs every week and weekend and needs dedicate resources, this is not available from the BAU teams. Due to the nature of the migrations, large amount of servers need to be migrated all together along with the NAS storage filers within the maintenance windows, total 8 senior Unix Administrators are required to handle the workload properly.

Impact on business if not hired: MLSI 163894 will not be addressed, putting  at risk.
MLSI 163894: (Group Encryption Strategy Implementation (GESI)UBS is required to apply a consistent approach around encryption of sensitive data. The information security policy allows business units discretion whether to encrypt sensitive data which may lead to inconsistent protection. Additionally the encryption strategy has not been reviewed in over three years. Encryption methods are required to be reviewed periodically to assure that the types and methods of encryption remain secure as technology and threats evolve. Finally management is required to ensure encryption is applied appropriately based on the updated policy and analysis. Due date 30 Nov 2020.

AP 17538846 (Migrate StaaS production data to encryption enabled service storage array’s (Hitachi) in the US.): Status green. STaaS migrations were slightly delayed due to conflicts with the AD Migrations. Re-planning and confirming schedule with the business. Key activity is the disruptive migration of NAS from NettApp 7-mode to new NettApp CDOT, this impacts approximately 20,000 server.”
