Title: Information Analyst
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The Senior Information Analyst will help support the development and execution a data governance framework that enables the ability to actively govern data, build consensus on organizing our data assets, and adopt data governance best practices.
The Analyst role will be responsible for supporting the vision and execution of the firm’s data governance strategy by researching and documenting data policies and standards, developing and populating metadata artifacts and supporting the activation of data stewardship.
In close partnership with technology and business partners, this individual will actively support initiatives to implement our data governance frameworks and champion a data‐centric culture.
The role will include digging deep into complex data, and coming up with specific and defined measures, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support dashboard and reporting initiatives. The Information Analyst team is responsible for delivering accurate and timely data standardization to steer these efforts.
• Defines requirements and collaborates with key clinical and business stakeholders and IT teams for development of technical lineages
• Plan, organize and lead information gathering sessions and execute follow up activities.
• Create and maintain business, functional and technical requirement documents in accordance with departmental protocol/standards.
• Identifies, tracks, and works on the resolution of priority data issues root causes to improve data quality levels
Request for Statement of Work Conducts an annual review of existing key data elements, data quality rules and associated metadata artifacts to ensure they are still fit for purpose and were consistently implemented across the organization
Qualifications / Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public health, computer science, health informatics or related field with 7+ years of experience in analytics/business intelligence ·
Minimum 4 years of experience working with healthcare data ·
Proficiency in SQL and other programming language such as R, Python, SAS preferred ·
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy ·
Excellent organizational and problem‐solving skills. ·
Strong verbal and written communication skills ·
Ability to work well with individuals at all levels within the organization ·
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‐technical peers ·
Experience in healthcare industry systems and applications is a plus ·
Proficient with Microsoft Office (required), Visio and SharePoint tools (strongly desired)
