Title: Data Architect – St. Louis
Currently seeking a contractor to serve as MDM Architect for Digital Business Transformation initiative. The Master Data Management (MDM) Architect will define strategies, solutions and processes for managing enterprise-wide data throughout the data lifecycle (capture, processing and consumption).
Implements data policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines concerning data collection, access and management
Sets technical direction for the overall MDM solution architecture, defines component architecture, reviews detailed designs for accuracy and overall compliance to defined architecture across the complete data lifecycle
Verifies design of overall Infrastructure and supports the build of the environments
Works with business process experts to help identify functional requirements
Supports Data Mapping Phases with proper technical analysis
Supports the identification of objects and data elements to be managed, specifies the policies and business rules for how master data is created and maintained, describing hierarchies, taxonomies, or other relationships important to organizing or classifying objects, and assigns data-stewardship responsibility to individuals and organizations
Analyzes impact of future topology changes in the environment
Define data governance strategies and roadmaps for MDM programs
Define vision, strategy and principles for data management and serve as a liaison between data consumers, solution development, and integration teams
Act as a thought leader in the data space with very strong communication skills, and management skills
10 or more years of IT and business/industry work experience, with at least 5 years of technical leadership experience
Experience in the role of an MDM Architect and leading large enterprise wide Master Data Management program for a full System Development Lifecycle.
Knowledge on models of MDM implementation.
Awareness of MDM trends, MDM Concepts and other technologies in the market
MS in Computer Science preferred
