    ​Data Analyst
    The role is a Data Analyst supporting Data Governance activities as part of the WMAP program.
    • Responsibilities
    • Participate in defining the Data Governance requirements for the new solution designed and agreed to by the US WM CTO and Data Governance Office
    • Identify and document master and authoritative sources across the enterprise
    • Document the new DG framework/solution, including data flows and process diagrams. Identify, collect and manage information about data definition, usage and transformation
    • Partner with IT to define Data Quality requirements for a new platform
    • Support, monitor and control execution of the new Data Governance framework and processes for the new platform
    • Profile and analyze enterprise data to develop insights and enable requirements gathering
    • Partner with the Business Analysts to define and implement the Data Quality rules
    • Act as a Data Governance champion to stakeholders

    • Role requirements
    • Business analysis and data wrangling (transforming and data mapping) experience
    • Strong understanding of databases and data structures
    • Understanding of Data Management, Data Governance and Business and Technical Data Architecture
    • Fundamental knowledge of data concepts such as modeling, glossary, lineage etc.
    • Solid knowledge of data management principles and processes
    • Hands on knowledge of data analysis, data profiling with SQL, IDQ or any other related tools
    • Experience with data root cause analysis and cross functional resolution of data issues
    • Ability to break down complex problems into components, identify root causes, and establish resolution plans
    • 5+ years of data analyst experience
    • Excellent presentation and communication (orally and written) skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
    • Ability to adapt to change and to detect and respond to evolving business needs
    • Excellent communicator, with great interpersonal skills
    • Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently and creatively as well as within a team
