Title: Collateral Analyst
Derivative and Collateral Settlements and Collateral analyst.
Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
This position, Derivative Settlements Analyst reports to the manager leading the Settlements Function. The Settlements function sits within the larger Product Control Group and is responsible for the derivative trade confirmations, daily position and market value reconciliations, legal hedge effectiveness and cash and collateral settlements. The individual will work within a team environment to both contribute to and lead certain team initiatives.
• Accurately process derivative collateral and derivatives cash settlements with the ability to research items internally and with custody banks and counterparties.
• Interact with custodians, counterparties, Middle and Back office to obtain all information necessary to perform settlements operations functions, such as trade confirmations & accounting, posting and researching open items.
• Work with the centralized reconciliation teams to resolve reconciliation breaks occurring in portfolios managed within the region.
• Maintain the integrity of investment information in the system and make adjustments as needed.
