    ​The California Consumer Protection Act of 2018 (CCPA) is the most significant privacy regulation passed in the US in the last 20 years and is similar to what we saw in the EU with GDPR in 2018.  The CCPA Project Manager will work with one or more business areas in coordination with BA’s and PM’s working across the CCPA program on assessment and implementation efforts to ensure they are compliant with CCPA by January 2020.

    Project Management

    • Planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities ensuring that comprehensive project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained and issues are actively managed
      Categorization of CCPA business process remediation options
    • Completing assessment of new or remediated process impact on current state processes, including change management impacts
    • Planning and supporting implementation of new or remediated processes
    • Continuous improvement activities affecting the project delivery framework
      Team leadership
    • Leading Business Analyst to complete the gap analysis
    • Ensuring requirements elicitation process is completed via review of CCPA legal and compliance guidance and input from business and technology stakeholders
    • Ensuring necessary sign-off of scope and requirements is obtained
    • Leading and motivating the team through challenging deadlines
    • Sharing knowledge and experience with the team, coaching less experienced team members in specific subjects
    • Stakeholder relationship management
    • Developing & maintaining communications with stakeholders (internal and external to Mercer), acting as a single point of contact
    • Gathering information from the business process owners and subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand and define their needs
    • Using stakeholder feedback to assess impact on CCPA compliance, risks and benefits
    • Maintaining contact stakeholders throughout to ensure satisfaction
    • Working closely with program/project manager(s) and other Business Analysts assigned to the project
    • Contribute to CCPA implementation efforts
    • Assist with the development of CCPA testing approaches, use case development and business process testing
    • Utilize expertise of new CCPA compliant environment to assist with the development and presentation of CCPA process level training
    • Assist with the rollout of the new CCPA compliant solution and services​​​
    • Demonstrated ability to lead projects with multiple business and technology components
    • Strong communication and organizational skills, especially to manage stakeholders and contributors to work as a team to deliver to the common objective
    • Demonstrated problem solving, conflict management and decision making skills
    • Experience working with matrixed, diverse, and geographically dispersed teams
    • Familiarity with CCPA, GDPR and/or prior experience managing a compliance project a plus
    • Proficiency in common tools used in portfolio, Program and project management including MS Office, MS Project, Visio, and SharePoint
    • Formal qualifications not necessarily required, but relevant examples include:
    • PMP accreditation
    • Other professional qualifications that include project and/or Program management in syllabus
