Title: Azure Engineer – Grand Rapids
Engaged in Public, and Hybrid cloud technology research, evaluations, scoring, and documentation
Leads pre-production readiness efforts, POCs, lab testing, and knowledge transfer
Defines engineering approaches for various Public and Hybrid Cloud initiatives
Provides last tier support for operations and support teams, including root cause analysis and preventative analysis
Automate configurations and deployments using cloud native Azure services.
At least 3 years of experience working in an Azure engineering role, and 10 years working in a technical engineering role.
Strong experience with Azure IaaS, VNETs, NSG, Peering, Application Gateways, Security Center, Log AnalyticsApplication InsightsOMS, Azure AD, and general Azure PaaS services.
Ability to automate configurations and deployments using cloud native Azure services (pipelines) is required.
Demonstrated experience with Terraform.
Demonstrated experience with Azure DevOps and Pipelines.
Strong experience with DevOps best practices (CI/CD, IaC, Monitoring, etc) and implementations.
Strong experience with PowerShell DSC.
Strong experience with ARM templates.
Strong experience with Agile.
Strong experience with Git.
Strong experience with SDLC
Ability to script tasks using PowerShell, Python, BASH, or other industry standard scripting languages.
Strong experience with Linux, Windows, Active Directory, load balanced, and HA configurations.
Strong experience with hardening and securing applications and cloud environments.
Strong understanding of Azure and Network security controls.
Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls is a plus.
Ability to gather requirements, lead technical discussions, manage complex technical projects, and lead technical teams.
Strong technical writing skills and the ability to effectively create architectural and operational documentation (Visio, build guides, runbooks, security controls, etc).
Bachelor’s degree Computer Science or a related field
