Title: Administrative Coordinator
Performs complex and diverse administrative duties, assists in administrative problem solving, program/project planning, development, and execution of stated goals and objectives.
Scope of Role & Responsibilities:
Schedules appointments and maintains calendars; coordinates and facilitates meetings, facilities usage, events, conferences, and/or travel arrangements.
Provides and/or oversees support activities for the unit such as answering telephones, assisting teleconferences, resolving problems and inquiries of visitors, review and control of incoming and outgoing correspondence, and follow-up on operational commitments.
Performs a range of diverse administrative activities for the department, serves as a central point of liaison with other departments and external constituencies in the resolution of a variety of day-to-day matters concerning the department.
Maintain the departmental database and files and manage departmental records, including staff vacation/sick leave reports, time reports, status forms, and other personnel reports. Assist in maintaining office equipment and purchases.
Establishes, updates, and maintains department’s files, inventories, and records; implements and maintains data management systems.
Assists in the coordination, supervision, and completion of special projects as appropriate.
May supervise one or more clerical staff or coordinate work of temp and/or interns.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Required Education, Training & Professional Experience:
Requires solid written and verbal communication skills as well as project management skills.
Must know how to use Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Access. Capacity to perform access queries preferred.
Bachelors’ degree or office technology certificate required.
Must demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, and to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments
Multiple years of prior experience as an administrative support in a managed care setting required.
