Title: Active Directory Engineer – Cary, NC
Supplier Note: Essential Skills/Experience:
***This requisition has three openings***
***7-10 years DevOps experience
***Must have 3+ ACTIVE DIRECTORY experience.
***Must have 3-5 years Powershell scripting experience.
***5+ years of experience with FIREWALLS
Previous experience with Operations Domain Controllers
Desirable Skills/Experience:
MCSE / MCSA Certification would be very nice to have
Key objectives of the role:
Upgrade Windows 2008 domain controllers
The Directory Services (DS) Engineer is responsible for executing the enterprise wide strategy for MetLife’s directory services, which includes: Microsoft Active Directory and LDS, Oracle LDAP, and Infoblox DNS/DHCP.
DS engineering is responsible for supporting: Authentication (i.e., Kerberos, ADFS) and Group Policy. This hands-on position requires a subject matter expert (SME) with strong collaboration skills to work with cross functional teams to ensure the design of technology solutions complies with MetLife’s information security policies and regulatory obligations.
Project goals:
1. Retire domain controllers per plan (identify hard-coded apps to single ldap server)
2. Upgrade to 2019 DCs
3. Assist with developing automation script for determining DC placement and in-place OS upgrade
4. Misc AD work as needed (GPOs, replication troubleshooting etc.)
