Create architecture documents to verify qualities such as performance, availability, survivability and modifiability (such as Technology Architecture Proposal, Technology Architecture Document etc.)
Provide technology insight, direction and peripheral vision of technology impact across technology and business groups with an emphasis on Application and Data Architecture
Support project teams when applying Enterprise Architecture (EA) principles, roadmaps, technology, standards, patterns and best practices, frameworks and tools, solutions, reuse across functional boundaries and provide consistent approaches to common technology problems.
Perform hands-on development for proof-of-concept solutions, architectures, and frameworks.
Evaluate architectures and identify risks and best practices.
Present findings, recommendations, and insights to diverse audiences, as needed.
Provide technical support and guidance.
Conduct product and vendor evaluations; research may be paper based or applied research in a lab environment; formally documents findings and presents them to internal customers
Participate in the development, specification, implementation, and communication of the goals for the firm’s technology architecture.
Skills: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or related work experience
Strong architecture, design and development background and a minimum of six years of relevant Information Technology (IT) experience
Solid problem solving skills with excellent interpersonal, verbal, negotiation, writing, presentation and communications skills
Strong understanding of the tools and methodologies to design and architect business solutions
Broad technology background (i.e. generalist), with an understanding of both Internet and non-Internet application technologies and related infrastructure in which technologies exist
Experience with project management, full project life cycle, and a project-based advisory firm
Practical experience integrating secure applications with Identity Management Technologies (IBM Tivoli Identity, Access, Federated Identity Manager)
Troubleshooting Skills
Knowledge of:
Windows Server and Applications Technologies (.NET, Active Directory, IIS, etc.) and Microsoft Server family (W2008R2, W2012)
Database technologies (e.g. SQLServer, Oracle)
Application Servers and Runtimes (e.g. .NET, WebSphere, J2EE etc.)
Desktop productivity technologies (e.g. Microsoft Office suite applications and MS Office)
Collaboration Technologies such as SharePoint 2007/2010/2013 (a strong plus)
